Brewer

Brewer's Crackers

US Breweries in the US produce over 1 billion tons of edible food waste each year that ends up in our already crowded landfills! These grains are a valuable by-product from the beer making process. When making beer, brewers steep super high-quality grains, like barley, in water. They then strain this mixture, keeping the liquid to make beer and discard the "spent" grains. Turns out, these grains are still incredibly flavorful and the steeping process actually unlocks valuable nutrients. They recycle these grains into their crackers and chips. Their goal is to rise above other cracker companies by providing customers with an honest, healthy, sustainable, and delicious product. View Our Products

Capone Foods

Capone Foods

"It’s Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. My mission this morning is to thicken a mushroom sauce, made from 80 pounds of mushrooms, shallots, garlic, thyme and other spices, that started cooking the night before. As I arrive, the roasted mushrooms have been drained, and the flavorful liquid is almost boiling. To my right, fresh basil and — guess what? — more shallots are being coarsely chopped for our plum tomato and basil sauce. Finally, behind me, I hear the pasta machine start humming as it extrudes dough to be made into linguine, which, a long, long time ago, was the first thing we ever made. As I walk back to my office to jot down these thoughts, I can’t help thinking that at least in our own little food world, we have come a long way, and everything is alright." View Our Products

Henry has always had a desire to start beekeeping. He approached Dana who's response was, "Bees?! You want to have Bees? Are you crazy?" He left it alone for a while until one day when they were introduced to creamed honey. They started off with 3 hives and quickly added 2 more. Going into their first winter, they had 6 hives and sadly lost 3 of them. Mistakes were made, but they learned a lot that year. The following year, their apiary quickly grew to 20 and they've been growing ever since. Currently they are up to almost 40 hives! While the bees do all the work collecting and making the honey, wax, pollen, and propolis, Henry and Dana do the rest by hand. Currently, Dana works as a kindergarten teacher, and Henry has been working as a welder for the last 30 years. While they both love their professions, beekeeping opened a whole new world for them.
